Mane Escape Studio · Benwood, WV
A big day or night out often needs hair that stays put, photographs well and feels like the finished version of you. At Mane Escape Studio, event styling and updos are handled by artists who treat the appointment as a one-time, high-stakes service rather than a routine cut and style.
Updos range from classic polished chignons and soft romantic styles to more structured or textured looks. Event styling also covers half-up styles, braided details, and finished blowouts or curls that are meant to last through the evening. The goal is a style that holds through movement, humidity and a long day while still looking natural on the person wearing it.
Extensions can be added if extra length or volume is needed for the style. If you are considering that, mention it early so the color match and install can be planned around your date.

Anyone preparing for a wedding, prom, formal event or special occasion can benefit from a dedicated styling appointment. It is especially useful if you want the hair secured so it does not fall during dancing or outdoor photos, or if you simply prefer not to style it yourself on a high-pressure day.

Most event clients book a trial first, especially for weddings. The trial lets the artist practice the style, test hold products and make sure you like the finished result before the actual day. On the day of the event the appointment is timed so the hair is finished with enough buffer before photos or the ceremony.
Popular wedding and prom dates go early, so reach out to your artist as far ahead as you can and she will tell you what she needs and when.

Your artist will use the products and pins suited to the style and your hair type. Avoid excessive touching, carry a few bobby pins, and know how to smooth any flyaways.
Megan Helms offers updos and show-stopping event styling. Emily Campbell also takes event and prom work, and has run the salon prom season alongside Chasity. Because this is a booth rental studio, you book the specific person whose work you prefer rather than being assigned by a front desk. Note that the hair artists work Tuesday through Saturday, so Sunday events need to be styled the day before.
Strongly recommended for weddings and often helpful for prom. The trial removes guesswork and lets you see the finished style on your own hair before the important day.
Yes. Both Emily and Megan work with extensions. If extra length or volume is needed for the style, discuss it during the consultation or trial so everything is planned together.
As early as you can, especially for popular dates. Reach out to the artist you want and she will tell you what timeline works for her book.
The hair artists work Tuesday through Saturday, so a Sunday event is styled on the Saturday before. Chasity does take appointments on Sundays for lashes, brows, facials and waxing.
For wedding, prom or special-event hair, book with Megan or Emily and reserve your date early.
